A few years ago, I felt like my body was stuck in slow motion.
Tired. Foggy. Low motivation. When I got my labs back, the answer was clear: my thyroid levels were low.
Now, most people jump straight to medication, which I was prescribed as well. But something told me "no". I knew better. I knew my body needed something else—it was asking for help. So I took a different approach: I listened.
I ran deeper testing, including an Organic Acids Test, and uncovered two key issues:
- My cortisol was all over the place!
- I was low in tyrosine, a key amino acid that helps make thyroid hormone

So, here we go. For this week, make this one simple shift:
Start your day with 30g of clean, sustainable protein.
Your first meal sets the tone for your hormones, energy, focus, and digestion. If you start the day with sugar, coffee, or carbs alone, your blood sugar spikes, crashes—and your body stays in survival mode.
Instead, begin with 30 grams of protein from clean, sustainable sources to give your cells what they need to thrive.
Try one of these:
- 3 eggs + 2 oz wild-caught salmon + sautéed spinach in organic olive oil
- Goat whey protein smoothie with one scoop of goat whey, almond milk, berries, chia seeds, and almond butter
- Beans & veggie bowl with ¾ cup cooked beans, greens, avocado, waknuts and pumpkin seeds
- Cottage Cheese Power Bowl: ¾ cup organic cottage cheese, 2 tbsp hemp seeds, blueberries, 1 tbsp almond butter, sprinkle of cinnamon or cacao nibs for extra flavor
- Greek Yogurt Cacao Crunch: ¾ cup full-fat Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp raw cacao powder, 2 tbsp chia seeds or pumpkin seeds, blueberries
