I want to share something deeply personal with you today.
For much of my life, I lived with pain that didn’t make sense. My body functioned—but only partially. The entire left side felt... disconnected. I didn’t know why. I just knew something wasn’t right.
After my recent back surgery, I began to uncover the truth. I was dealing with a trapped nerve and severe nerve damage—but that wasn’t all.
I’d experienced emotional, physical, and sexual abuse in the early years of my life. I had done all the therapies—hypnosis, mindset work, trauma counseling. You name it. And I am so much better for it! I thought I had moved on. But my body hadn’t fully yet.
Our bodies don’t forget. They adapt. They protect. They store the unspoken.
I’ve been pushing hard at the gym, determined to regain my strength post-surgery and heal the nerve damage. But my body didn’t need more pushing.
It needed something I’d never learned:
Real rest. Learn to be in a complete parasympathetic state.
Even when I thought I was relaxing, my nervous system was always on high alert.
It wasn’t until I experienced neuromuscular therapy and craniosacral work that something finally shifted. My body softened. My nervous system let go. I realized:
Sometimes the healing doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from listening deeper for what I need.
We often look for answers in supplements, scans, and new diagnoses. But what if the real answer… is to finally feel safe enough to release what’s been held inside?
